Every second Saturday in August since 2002.

Planned by a dedicated group of volunteers, with additional day-of volunteers recruited from St. Luke Lutheran Church and neighbor churches.

Translation provided by volunteers from Neighborhood House and the Muslim Educational Trust.

Volunteers known as "personal shoppers" guide families through the venue to pick out the following:

  • Backpack with supplies

  • Tennis shoes and socks

  • Winter coat

  • Tee-shirt

To provide equitable and consistent care to all families and volunteers that participate in our event.

  • We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, disability, religion, political affiliation, family, military, or marital status.

  • We welcome families with limited English proficiency and have both translated materials and volunteers proficient in other languages to serve them.

  • Although we are affiliated with a church, we do not proselytize or take any actions that could create a barrier to serving families.
